Preparing For Your Next Check-Up

by RMH Healthcare on March 30, 2011

Regular visits with your doctor should be more than a formality. They're your chance to take charge of your medical care by finding out what preventive services you need and when you need them, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says.

Before your next check-up, here's what the CDC says you should do to prepare:

  • Study your family health history.
  • Ask about any vaccinations or screenings you may need.
  • Discuss with your doctor any changes in your mental or physical health.
  • Talk about significant lifestyle changes or medical procedures you are considering.
