    RMH Women’s Center Offering Second Annual ‘Girl Talk’ Retreat

    Mother 'Tween' Daugher RetreatRMH Women’s Center is offering its second annual Girl Talk retreat on February 24-25, 2012 and I’m lucky enough to be one of the planners and participants who will get to be with fun group of women and girls laughing, learning, and loving together.

    At the retreat, mothers and tween-age (9-12) daughters will experience a special time away from the daily responsibilities of laundry, cooking, homework, sports and siblings. Instead, we’ll focus on building a stronger mother-daughter bond.

    If you’re a mom of a “tween”, then you know first-hand how challenging these years can be. At this retreat, you’ll learn how to understand and listen to one another, and appreciate the knowledge, trust and joy you both have to give to the relationship.

    Girl Talk is held at one of my favorite places—the comfortable and private setting of Horizons Valley Pike, just 3 miles north of Harrisonburg—is an easy, ideal location to “escape”. Walks in the pastoral setting, yoga and Zumba® fitness lessons will inspire joy in physical movement. The bedtime facials will deliver giggles to last a lifetime and I personally can’t wait to share the super-simple fashion accessory we will create during craft time!
